COLORADO 2023 Medicare Advantage Plan Highlights

Bear in mind this is simply a high-level review of some of the benefits that are being offered in 2023 here in Colorado. Not every plan will offer each benefit listed.

None of the benefits listed below are “standalone” benefits; this means to gain access to the benefits you would have to enroll in the Medicare Advantage plan that is offering the benefit.

$103 PART B “GIVEBACK” BENEFIT IN COLORADO

The Medicare Part B premium is going down from $170.10 to $164.90 in 2023. Despite what Joe Namath screams at you on TV, the only way to get the full $164.90 covered is if you qualify for full Colorado Medicaid.

Assuming you don’t qualify for Medicaid, the maximum Part B Giveback/Reduction in Colorado will be $103 in 2023. This would mean instead of paying the full $164.90, you would only be responsible for $61.90/month for Medicare Part B. To learn more call (303) 865-5534.

$4,000 DENTAL BENEFIT- $0 Copay & $0 Deductible

There are plans offering up to $4,000 in dental benefits with $0 copays & $0 deductibles in 2023. ($5,000 if you qualify for Colorado Medicaid.)

GROCERY BENEFIT – $150/month (read the small print!)

A lot of agents will tease you with this grocery benefit. We don’t! So here is the TRUTH about this rich grocery benefit – it is only being offered to people who are eligible for full Medicaid in Colorado, it is not being offered to the general public. GYM MEMBERSHIPS

Recognizing the health benefits of a gym membership, most Medicare Advantage Plans offer programs like Silver Sneakers, Renew Active or Silver & Fit. These programs allow you a basic club membership at no cost to you!

$0 ROUTINE TRANSPORTATION

If getting to doctors, pharmacies, and/or the health club is a problem for you or a loved one, then we should investigate plans that offer $0 rides. Recognizing the importance of access to care, especially Primary Care, one plan is offering unlimited rides to your PCP in 2023. 

OVER-THE-COUNTER BENEFITS

Many of the 2023 Medicare Advantage plans are offering members as much as $100/quarter to purchase OTC products like aspirin, bandages, cough syrup, incontinence supplies, vitamins, supplements and more! With some plans you can purchase these products at retail stores like Walgreens or Wal-Mart, while other plans offer catalog access to their OTC benefit. (Medicaid recipients qualify for even more!) HEARING AIDS AS LOW AS $0

If you or a loved one needs hearing aids, you know how costly they can be! Although some discounters sell inferior hearing aids for a couple of hundred dollars, most experts agree to get a decent quality device you should expect to pay thousands of dollars.
